Celtic suffered a 2-1 defeat to Ajax at Celtic Park in the Europa League this evening.

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Ajax in this Europa League this evening.

The Scottish Premiership giants went down 2-1 to Ajax at Celtic Park in Group A.

The defeat means that the Bhoys have no chance of progressing to the last-32 stage of the Europa League.

Griffiths has taken to Twitter to accept his responsibility for this evening’s loss and has apologised to the fans.

Callum McGregor put Celtic in the lead after just three minutes, but Arkadiusz Milik restored parity midway through the first half when he found the target from close range with an acrobatic effort.

Vaclav Cerny won the three points for Frank de Boer's side three minutes from full time.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Celtic Park, Celtic had 41% of the possession, took 14 shots of which six were on target, and earned four corners.
