Everton boss Roberto Martinez speaks highly of Gerard Deulofeu

Gerard Deulofeu joined Everton from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Gerard Deulofeu is a world-class talent.

Deulofeu joined Everton from Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer transfer window, having played on loan for the Toffees during the 2013-14 season.

The 21-year-old winger has been in superb form for the Merseyside outfit so far this season and has established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet.

The Spain international has scored one goal and created 13 chances in 11 Premier League appearances so far this campaign.

Deulofeu has a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 100%, and has won 17 headers and five tackles.

Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from 13 matches, six points behind Arsenal, who are fourth and occupy the final Champions League place.

The Liverpool-based outfit will take on Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the league on Saturday afternoon.
