Tottenham travelled to Azerbaijan yesterday in preparation for their Europa League tie against Qarabag this evening.
Some key first-team players have been left behind in London, with the likes of Kyle Walker and Danny Rose not being risked for the trip with Spurs taking on Chelsea this weekend.
It is a 5,000-mile round trip, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to ensure his team are fresh for the weekend, whilst also not risking their Europa League place against a team who proved they are tough to break down in the reverse fixture at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham head into the game as one of the form teams in the Premier League, with their one loss this season coming back on the opening day of the season. In Europe, they have struggled slightly, but two wins and one draw from four games has them occupying top spot.
Qarabag are currently unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions, and could believe they can claim a shock win at home, using their freshness in relation to Spurs to their advantage.
Pochettino has opted to play Harry Kane and Dele Alli, who could last the full 90 minutes as he is suspended for the game against Chelsea on Sunday.
Here is the confirmed Tottenham line-up for the game against Qarabag.
Confirmed XI: Lloris (c), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Mason; Alli, Eriksen, Son; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Wimmer, Carroll, Townsend, Onomah, Winks, Clinton
