Highly-rated Brentford midfielder James Ferry is poised to go out on loan to Wycombe Wanderers, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Ferry just signed a new deal at Brentford earlier this week as reward for the progress he is showing at the club.
The 18-year-old has been a regular in the Development Squad this season and has been made captain of the side.
The all-action midfielder is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Griffin Park and is seen as one of the future at the Championship outfit.
Ferry has yet to make his first-team debut for Brentford and the club feel his development would be best served by going out on loan to get valuable first-team experience under his belt.
A number of Football League clubs have expressed an interest in Ferry, but Wycombe have moved quickly to agree a deal with Brentford.
Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth is keen to bolster his squad before the busy run of festive fixtures and Ferry will add to his midfield options.
