Arsene Wenger may be without his talisman for the trip to Carrow Road.
Arsenal have suffered a blow in the build up to their game with Norwich City this weekend, after Arsene Wenger confirmed that Alexis Sanchez is a doubt for the trip to Carrow Road due to a hamstring strain, the Daily Mail report.
Rather than rule the Chilean out of the squad, however, Wenger is giving his star player every chance to prove his fitness before the game against Alex Neil's side.
"I will assess that later. It might not be the right time to rest him," he said.
The news will be a major setback for the Gunners, who will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league, having tasted defeat last time out against West Bromwich Albion.
While the Canaries are languishing near the bottom three, Wenger will be desperate to make sure that every member of his team take to the pitch without an inch of complacency, to ensure that they don't slip up like they did against Tony Pulis' men. Having one of the most professional members of their squad available should boost their chances.
It was Sanchez that largely kept their Champions League hopes alive in midweek, as he bagged a brace to help seal a 3-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb.
Although the former Barcelona man may be missing, Wenger has received some positive news, as the Mail report that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return against Norwich, while Aaron Ramsey came through his comeback in midweek unscathed.
However, Joel Campbell - who set up the third of Arsenal's goals against Zagreb with a delightful pass - is also a doubt due to a calf problem.
