West Ham attacker Samuelsen moved on loan to League One side Peterborough United.

Samuelsen has linked up with Peterborough United on loan until January 2016, just days before the close of the Football League loan window.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has impressed with the Hammers this season, having joined Slaven Bilic’s team over the summer from Manchester City. He played well during pre-season, and the attacking midfielder was gifted the opportunity to impress at senior level in the Europa League.

Named as part of Bilic’s squad for the European competition, Samuelsen came on as a substitute in both games against Birkirkara in the second qualifying round.

Since the start of the Premier League, the attacker has moved back down to Under-21 football, and this loan deal offers Samuelsen the chance to play consistent competitive football to continue his development.

Highly rated at the Boleyn Ground, many believe that Samuelsen has the talent needed to go all the way as a top flight player, and following the confirmation of the loan deal, West Ham and Peterborough fans reacted to the news on Twitter.

Peterborough fans are extremely delighted, and whilst West Ham fans believe the football will do his development good, there are some who believe he should have remained with Bilic’s team as a replacement for the injured Dimitri Payet.
