Celtic are preparing to face Ajax in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Ronny Deila has told reporters attending his press conference on Wednesday afternoon, covered by the club's official Twitter account, that Scott Allan is close to breaking into Celtic’s starting team.
The Bhoys signed Allan from Hibernian during the summer transfer window, but so far the midfielder has been used sparingly by Deila.
However, after Allan put in a decent showing in Celtic's most recent fixture against Kilmarnock, it appears that he has come into Deila’s thoughts.

Allan was brought to Celtic as a potential star of the future, but his chances have been limited due to the options the Bhoys have in central midfield.
Deila’s squad is packed with quality in the middle of the pitch, but with Scott Brown set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Allan could come into contention.
Another player who is pushing for a place in the team at Parkhead is Carlton Cole.
The former West Ham United striker is yet to make his debut for Celtic since penning permanent terms, but Deila has confirmed that he is edging towards full fitness.
