Luke Shaw sends his thanks to PSV fans after class touch from Dutch club

PSV Eindhoven

The Manchester United left-back has been recovering since the last meeting between the two sides.

Luke Shaw is currently out of action for what seems a lengthy period after suffering a horrific leg break earlier in the season.

The England international has had two operations on the double fracture sustained in a challenge with Mexican defender Hector Moreno in United’s opening Champions League tie of the season against PSV Eindhoven.

It came after a magnificent start to the season for the young defender who finally looked to be growing into his role at Old Trafford.

The PSV Eindhoven players and fans were equally affected by Shaw's horror leg break at the Philips Stadion and they will show their support this evening with a huge banner wishing Shaw all the best.

Which has caught the attention of the man himself. The Manchester United defender sent this tweet earlier today thanking the PSV fans for their classy support.

Tonight he will have to watch on as a spectator. But he will hope to be back out on that pitch at some point in 2016 doing the business for United down the left-hand side.
