The Tottenham forward is currently third in the rankings, with Jamie Vardy leading the way.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker had initially struggled to replicate last season’s form at the beginning of this campaign, with the goals not coming as easily.
He has found his scoring boots in recent weeks, though, with two against rivals West Ham taking him to eight in the Premier League this season.
That’s a decent return for the England man, but it doesn’t get him top of the standings, with Leicester City's Jamie Vardy currently leading the way on 13 goals.
Not many are expecting Vardy to be up there come the end of the campaign, though, and Le Tissier has backed Kane to be the league’s top scorer come the end of the season.
“In terms of value when you look at the odds and where everyone is in terms of goals and form, my money would probably be on Harry Kane,” he told Sky Sports.
“He doesn't appear to be the sort of player that gets injured much and he seems to want to play every minute of every game, which is important.”
Kane certainly showed he has the ability to challenge for the Golden Boot last term, with only Sergio Aguero keeping him from topping the charts.
Given he only started featuring regularly in the first team from November onwards, there is every chance he can beat last season’s tally.
He will though face stern competition, with Aguero sure to return to full fitness at some point, and the likes of Romelu Lukaku also competing at present.
