Leicester’s start has defied all expectations, and Vardy’s form has been one of the major reasons that they have shot to the summit.
The 28-year-old forward has already netted 13 goals for the season, but he feels that his teammates deserve a lot of credit for their own form.
"It's a joy to play in that team," he said. "In our first year [in the Premier League] we didn't know what to expect, it was quicker and more physical. Confidence is sky high but everyone is very grounded.
"It's about hard work and the players that I've got around me getting me into positions where I'm able to put the ball in the back of the net, it's as simple as that."
Vardy equalled a Premier League record on Saturday, as he netted in the 10th consecutive match during their 3-0 victory over Newcastle United.
The England international’s form has been nothing short of remarkable, and if he keeps scoring with such frequency there is no reason why Leicester’s stunning form shouldn’t continue.
Claudio Ranieri’s side’s next match comes against Manchester United at the weekend, and a win in that fixture would further establish their position at the top of the Premier League standings.
