The winger has been consistently linked with a return to Barcelona, with them retaining a buy-back option on the youngster.
The young Spaniard was secured in a cut-price deal from Barcelona in the summer, having impressed during a loan spell in 2013/14.
He has been in sensational form as well, with a number of assists and several goals already to his name, while a dangerous partnership with Romelu Lukaku continues to develop.
There are, however, fears that Deulofeu could be heading back to Spain in the summer, with Roberto Martinez recently revealing that Barcelona have a buy-back option next summer, reported by the Guardian.
However, the winger’s latest comments suggest he could turn down a return to the Nou Camp, should it be offered to him.
"It was a very easy decision to come back here. I love Everton and hope to be here for many years,” he told the club’s official website.
Interesting comments from the winger, then, who it seems could turn down a return to Barcelona if they came calling.
At present it would be a bad move for him to make, given how well he is doing in the Premier League this season.
He is almost guaranteed first team football at Goodison Park, unlike at the Nou Camp, where he would struggle to get in ahead of Neymar, Lionel Messi or Luis Suarez any time soon.
For his development, at least, a stay with Everton is clearly the best choice. Toffees fans will be hoping that is what he is focused on.
