A player named Everton at Liverpool? Jurgen Klopp should go for Brazilian international in January

Everton Ribeiro should be playing above his current level in the United Arab Emirates.

At the weekend Liverpool ran rampant against Manchester City to secure perhaps their best win yet under the guidance of new manager Jurgen Klopp.

The German masterminded a scintillating performance that saw Liverpool cruise to a 4-1 win at Premier League title favourites City's home ground.

Two men who really shone in that game were Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho. The two Brazilian's turned on the Samba style in a hugely compatible performance in Manchester.

It was the first time the two have really clicked and it certainly makes you wonder if they should bring in another.

His name might not sound right for the task of joining the Liverpool midfield, but Everton Ribeiro would be a great signing for Jurgen Klopp.

The Brazilian international is currently playing some of the best football of his life with Al-Ahli in the United Arab Emirates. He had previously won the Brazilian footballer of the year two years in a row wth former club Cruzeiro.

Previously linked with Manchester United the attacking midfielder has a left-foot wand and can play through the middle or out wide. If called upon, he can even play a little further back in central midfield.

Playing in the Middle East may very well be lucrative but it is beneath his talents. He inspired the club to the AFC Champions League final last term and has started the new season with a bang - scoring four goals in five games.

It is time he proved his worth at a major European league and Liverpool would be the perfect destination under the perfect manager.
