The Spanish defender continued to impress with another solid display in the win over Dinamo Zagreb.
The Spaniard had looked like he would struggle to make the grade at the Emirates at one point, but he has turned his fortunes around with a series of impressive displays during last season and this.
He is now very much the first choice left-back in Arsene Wenger’s squad, so eye-catching and assured have his performances been.
He put in another impressive display on Tuesday as he starred in the 3-0 Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb.
We took a look at his stats to see just how commanding he was.
|Match||Tackle Success||Interception Success||Clearance Success||Pass Success||Goal Assist||Ontarget Att Assist|
|Nacho Monreal||Arsenal vs Dinamo Zagreb||100%||100%||100%||88%||1||2|
And he was just that, posting a 100% success rate in several key areas on a productive night for the Gunners.
It was, unsurprisingly, defensively where he was most impressive, winning all of his tackles and interceptions and making no mistake with any of his clearances.
The defender was also solid with his passing, enjoying an 88% success rate in that area.
Going forward, he also offered plenty to the cause, managing to bag an assist from two efforts to conjure up something for a teammate.
Not a bad showing from Monreal, then, who will hope to continue impressing in Arsene Wenger’s side this season.
