Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has posted a video of himself back in training, as he steps up his recovery from injury.
Martinez picked up a thigh problem in Wolves’ match against Burnley, and he has not been fit enough to play since.
However, the Arsenal loanee seems to be on the verge of making it back to fitness now – and he posted an update on his condition on Twitter.
When Martinez does return to fitness there is no guarantee that he will win his place back in Wolves’ team, as competition is fierce at Molineux.
Carl Ikeme has come into Wolves’ starting line-up since Martinez has been sidelined, playing against Burnley and Ipswich Town.
Ikeme has been a reliable performer for the Midlands side over the last few campaigns, and he remains a capable Championship goalkeeper.
Wolves’ next match comes against Milton Keynes Dons at the weekend, and it remains to be seen whether Martinez will be available for selection in the contest.
