Garath McCleary reacts on Twitter after hearing about Chris Cohen's return to Nottingham Forest training

Chris Cohen returned to Nottingham Forest training on Tuesday afternoon after spending well over a year out injured.

Garath McCleary has welcomed Chris Cohen’s long-anticipated return to Nottingham Forest training, which occurred earlier on Tuesday.

Cohen has been out injured for well over a year, but he made his comeback to Forest training this afternoon.

It was a wonderful moment for the midfielder who has worked hard to get back to fitness, and McCleary was delighted for his former teammate.

Cohen’s return to fitness is a major boost for Forest, and they will be looking to ease him back into first-team life over the weeks ahead.

The 28-year-old damaged his cruciate ligament for the third time in the 2014/15 campaign, and it has taken him a long time to recover from that lay off.

If Forest can get him back to his best he will enhance the quality of their squad, though.

Cohen’s return to training also coincided with Robert Tesche’s comeback, with Dougie Freedman’s midfield options starting to look considerably stronger.
