West Ham fans slam Carroll and Jenkinson on Twitter after terrible Tottenham performances

West Ham fans are far from impressed with Andy Carroll and Carl Jenkinson.

West Ham United were the latest team to fall down at the hands of Tottenham after a 4-1 thrashing at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

The Hammers were hoping to claim bragging rights in a fierce London derby, but came up well short in a disappointing display in North London.

Harry Kane gave Spurs the lead, turning inside the box before smashing high in to the net, then Toby Alderweireld rose to head home Christian Eriksen's corner to make it 2-0 before half time.

Kane then made it 3-0 with a low drive beyond the grasp of Adrian, and Kyle Walker added a fourth with a fine curling finish with the outside of his right foot.

Manuel Lanzini did score a consolation goal for West Ham, showing outstanding trickery before a powerful finish past Hugo Lloris - but it was a torrid afternoon for Slaven Bilic's men.

After the game, West Ham fans took to Twitter to discuss their players' performances, and two particular players received plenty of criticism from supporters.

Right back Carl Jenkinson endured a tough time, being turned by Kane for the opener and struggling to cope with Christian Eriksen and Danny Rose down Tottenham's left hand side.

Some fans stated that Jenkinson, who is on loan from Arsenal for the season, shouldn't be in the team for the coming weeks, with some even suggesting that he should be sent back to Arsenal.

Additionally, striker Andy Carroll - who lasted only 63 minutes before being replaced by Nikica Jelavic - was slammed for his performance, with fans stating that he doesn't suit West Ham's style of play, and it's like 'playing with a statue' up front due to his large frame but lack of mobility.
