Tottenham youngster Joe Pritchard comments after his return from a broken leg

White Hart Lane 3

The Tottenham Hotspur teenager is back playing again.

Young Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Joe Pritchard has played his first match since recovering from a broken leg, featuring for Spurs’ under-21s against their Brentford counterparts on Monday.

Pritchard suffered the injury in an under-18 match against Norwich City almost exactly a year ago and he has since been speaking to Tottenham’s official website after getting back out on the pitch for some competitive action.

“There’s nothing like going out on that pitch and playing football; it’s been a long time coming,” Pritchard told

“Everything feels better so I’ve just got to kick on now and see what comes next.”

Pritchard may not have been able to help the young Tottenham side to a victory, with Brentford running out 4-1 winners, but he will simply be glad he is back doing what he loves.

Equally adept in central midfield or at right-back, the teenager will now be hoping to make a real impact at under-21 level and hopefully impress Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino just as so many of his young teammates have in recent times.

If he manages that the sky could be the limit, but he will be taking each game as it comes for now…
