This weekend’s games were good ones for both Liverpool and Tottenham, as they both secured big wins against their rivals.
Liverpool put in a highly impressive performance against Manchester City on Saturday, leaving the Etihad with all three points and a 4-1 victory.
Sunday afternoon saw Tottenham taking one London rivals West Ham, and they put in an equally impressive performance, also winning 4-1 on the afternoon.
Both sides put on an excellent attacking display to secure their victories, with their respective attacking midfielders and forwards enjoying fine afternoons.
|Match||Ontarget Scoring Att||Total Scoring Att|
|Harry Kane||Tottenham vs West Ham||4||6|
|Roberto Firmino||Man City vs Liverpool||4||5|
|Troy Deeney||Watford vs Man Utd||3||3|
|Arouna Koné||Everton vs Aston Villa||3||3|
And it seems their stars lead in one particular statistical area, as Harry Kane and Roberto Firmino posted the most shots on target of any player over the weekend.
Both players enjoyed four efforts on target apiece in their game, although Kane had the better afternoon as he managed two goals from his efforts, Firmino just bagging the one.
Indeed, it seems Kane had the busiest afternoon of the duo, as he had six scoring attempts, although Firmino wasn’t far behind with five.
Busy afternoons for both players then, who will be hoping to be equally effective next time around.
