Leicester City’s remarkable rise to the top of the Premier League is made even more incredible due to their tendency to concede goals this season.
The Foxes have been far from secure defensively, and they are one of only seven teams to have let in more than 20 goals during their first 13 league matches.
The other six sides who have conceded over 20 goals occupy the bottom six places in the table, yet Leicester are sitting proudly at the top.
Claudio Ranieri’s side’s attacking threat has carried them through, with Jamie Vardy, in particular, earning rave reviews.
Vardy has scored in 10 consecutive Premier League matches, and he now has 13 goals for the season.
The 28-year-old’s goalscoring exploits have been backed up by the likes of Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante, who have also both been in fine form since the start of the new campaign.
Leicester are now the Premier League’s top scorers, and they can strengthen their position at the top of the table by beating Manchester United next weekend.
