The Hammers suffered a comprehensive 4-1 defeat to their London rivals at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The performance of the West Ham players left much to be desired, and Bilic has stated that the team will step up their game.
“Of course I want to apologise to them because it’s a special kind of game and tomorrow it’s not going to be very good for our fans to go to work with the Spurs teasing them and all that,” the Croatian told West Ham’s official website.
“First, I want to apologise to them and second I want to promise them that we’re going to bounce back and we’re going to prepare for a game against West Brom and we’re going to be back on the winning track.”
West Ham have now gone three games without a win in the Premier League.
Having lost 2-0 to Watford away from home at Vicarage Road at the end of last month, the London outfit played out a 1-1 draw with Everton before the international break and lost 4-1 at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
The Hammers’ next match is against West Bromwich Albion at the Boleyn Ground, and the fans will want a response.
Bilic’s side can certainly win the Premier League encounter against the Baggies, but the players do need to step up their game.
