Scott Brown limped off the field after Celtic's match against Kilmarnock.
Brown was left unable to run after going into a tackle late on in the contest, and he hobbled off at the end of the fixture.
However, Deila has suggested that the injury problem is not a serious one, and the midfielder should be available for the Bhoys’ next match against Ajax in midweek.
“I asked him [Brown] and he said it was just a knock, so I think that will be good, it is nothing to do with what he had before," Deila said.
Brown has only recently returned from injury so to lose him again would have been a major blow.
The Bhoys missed Brown in his absence, and he will be crucial if they are to win in the Europa League on Thursday.
The central midfielder’s tenacity will be needed to unsettle the Dutch giants, in what is a make or break match for Celtic.
Deila’s side simply have to beat Ajax if they are to have a chance of making it out of their Europa League group, after making a disappointing start to their European campaign.
