The Brazil international's agent has arrived in London to discuss a potential move to Premier League.
Despite shipping four past West Ham yesterday, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino appears keen to bolster his goalscoring resources, after The Sun claimed that former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato is closing in on a £10m move to White Hart Lane.
The 26-year-old's agent Giuliano Bertolucci has reportedly flown to London to discuss a deal with middleman Kia Joorabchian which would see Pato move to the Premier League in January (via The Sun).
The Brazil international came to the attention of European fans when he completed a move to AC Milan eight years ago. While injuries prevented the forward from adding his name to the pantheon of greats that have played at the San Siro over the years, and ultimately led to his return to South America in 2013, his strike-rate for the Rossoneri was impressive.
Pochettino will be hoping that should Pato complete a move to England, he is able to strengthen Spurs' hopes of securing a place in the Premier League's top four.
The club are unbeaten in the top flight since losing to Manchester United on the opening day of the campaign, and with Leicester currently topping the table, the London outfit will not have had many better opportunities to go on and enjoy success.
And with Harry Kane returning to his best form, the addition of Pato could be what propels Tottenham into the title picture.
