The Eagles are flying after beating Liverpool before the international break.
Palace have enjoyed a strong start to the season so far, sitting 10th in the table with 19 points to their name.
They were highly impressive before the international break, inflicting the first defeat of Jurgen Klopp’s reign on Liverpool in yet another victory against the Reds.
That result is sure to have increased their confidence and a win against the struggling Black Cats could see them go sixth in the table.
Jedinak though they would be confident regardless of that win last time around.
“Regardless of the win at Liverpool, the boys will be confident because they’re always pretty confident,” he told cpfc.co.uk.
“There are a lot of strong characters in our dressing room and even when it’s low they’re pulling everyone else along. We’re looking forward to getting back into action and hopefully I’ll be able to play my part as well.”
The form book is very much against Palace though, with them not having enjoyed a good record following the international breaks this season.
Their home form has also been sketchy at best going back to last season, with them having lost six of their last ten Premier League home games, drawing one and winning the other two.
The midfielder is not impressed with that, and has urged the side to find their consistency as the season heads into the busy and crucial Christmas period, starting with a win over Sunderland.
“After the two international breaks this season we’ve had a poor result so it’s a must to turn that around in order to keep the momentum going,” he added.
“You need to keep a bit of consistency for as long as possible, so we have to try to step things up in that respect and getting the right result against Sunderland will help us to do that.”
