Palace will host Sunderland at Selhurst Park in the Premier League, and former Liverpool star Owen believes that the home team will register a 2-1 victory.
“Crystal Palace v Sunderland rounds off the Colossus, and I take the home side to win 2-1,” the former England international wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“A common theme of this column this season has been praise for Palace, even in defeat, and they bounced back from a series of poor results when winning at Anfield. They are a young, vibrant side who will continue to trouble the better teams in the league.
"Sunderland are certainly not one of those, and I think Big Sam could be headed for a third successive defeat here.”
Palace will head into the game at Selhurst Park on the back of a 2-1 victory over Liverpool away from home.
That win at Anfield followed a goalless draw with Premier League title contenders Manchester United at Selhurst Park.
Alan Pardew’s side are 10th in the table at the moment with 19 points from 12 matches, just seven points behind fourth-place Arsenal with a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Sunderland currently find themselves second from bottom in the standings with just six points from 12 matches.
The Black Cats are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Sam Allardyce’s side will head into tonight’s encounter against Palace on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Southampton at the Stadium of Light.
