Sol Bamba was forced to miss Leeds United's match against Rotherham United at the weekend through injury.
Bamba suffered a set-back in his comeback from injury, after he picked up a foot injury during Leeds’ friendly against Wycombe Wanderers.
The powerful centre-back was forced to sit out of Leeds’ match against Rotherham United last weekend, but Evans is hopeful his return is imminent.
"Sol’s not much of an issue," Evans said. "At a push the big man can be there this weekend if we need him to be.”
Bamba’s comeback will be welcomed by Whites supporters, as he is a vital player for them in a defensive sense.
The Ivorian is a whole-hearted defender, and his commitment and experience will be important as Evans’ side look to drag themselves away from trouble.
Leeds’ defeat to Rotherham has left them sitting just four points above the relegation zone, and fears that they could slip into trouble are growing.
The Whites do meet another out-of-form side on Saturday, though, as QPR have not managed to win any of their last four matches.
