Jason Puncheon is loving life at Crystal Palace at the moment.
Jason Puncheon has told the London Evening Standard that it is wonderful playing for Crystal Palace at the moment.
Palace have made a very impressive start to their season, and if they are able to beat Sunderland later this evening they will move up to sixth in the Premier League table.
Making it into the European spots would highlight a remarkable rise for the Eagles, and Puncheon is loving life at Selhurst Park at the moment.
“It is a wonderful place to be at the moment,” Puncheon said. “To see where the club are now is unbelievable. Who would have thought we would have been in this position a few of years ago?”
Palace beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield in their most recent match before the international break, and Puncheon says that result was a huge boost for everyone at the club.
“The Liverpool game was massive for us,” he added. “To go toe-to-toe with a team like that away from home just shows the direction we are going in.”
Puncheon has been one of Palace’s form players throughout the campaign so far, and he is playing a key role for Palace’s side.
The attacking midfielder is tasked with being one of Palace’s main creative forces, and he has coped well with the responsibility so far.
Puncheon has claimed two assists in 12 Premier League matches to date, and he will be crucial to Palace’s chances if they are beat Sunderland later this evening.
