Arsenal are far from certain of a place in the last 16 of the Champions League this season.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle said on Matchday Live with Fletch and Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning that Arsenal will progress to the last 16 of the Champions League this season.

“I think they will,” said the former Tottenham star when asked if Arsenal will qualify for the last 16. “You know why? The threat of going into the Europa (League).

"They will probably end up in the Europa, and that will drive them forward. I think they will get the two results.”

Arsenal are third in the Champions League Group F at the moment with just three points from four matches.

The Gunners are level on points with bottom side Dinamo Zagreb and six behind Bayern Munich and Olympiakos, who are first and second respectively.

Arsene Wenger’s side need to win their final two group games, but it will not be easy.

The Premier League giants will face Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Tuesday evening and then take on Olympiakos away from home in Greece next month.

Arsenal are masters in qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League, but this season they may not be able to.
