It was so obviously, but it's such a great marketing ploy now!
How can you not love a good attacking partnership? Barcelona have MSN: Messi, Suarez Neymar and Real Madrid have BBC: Bale, Benzema and Cristiano.
A couple of seasons ago, Liverpool had a pretty special attacking partnership - SAS - with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge joining forces to wreak havoc among Premier League defences.
And Reds fans definitely missed having that duo last season, as they ended up finishing outside the top four and having a pretty disappointing Champions League campaign.
However, it seems Liverpool have got themselves a new attacking partnership who took the sword to Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City at the weekend.
And they have decided to christen their new attacking line with something pretty clever... it was kinda staring us in the eyes all the time... how didn't we notice this before!
Liverpool host Bordeaux in the Europa League this week before hosting Swansea City at the weekend. How will 'LFC' fare after their Manchester City heroics?
