Crystal Palace host Sunderland this evening, with Connor Wickham facing his former club.
Crystal Palace are looking to make a major stride up the Premier League table with a victory against strugglers Sunderland.
Three points on Monday Night Football for the home side will see them climb from 10th into sixth place, leapfrogging West Ham, Everton, Southampton, and Liverpool.
Sunderland meanwhile are battling for their lives at the foot of the table, and looking to bounce back from a terrible result in their last game against Everton where they conceded six goals.
An away win would take them level on points with 18th placed Bournemouth, just one point behind rivals Newcastle.
Crystal Palace's home form has been mixed this season, winning just two of their six matches at Selhurst Park, and scoring just six goals.
Sunderland could be the ideal opponents for them. On their travels the Black Cats have picked up just one point, scored six, and conceded 18.
Aston Villa's loss to Everton ensures that for now, they remain in 19th place and have not slipped to the very bottom over the weekend.
