Chelsea fans celebrate Tottenham whizkid Dele Alli's suspension for upcoming fixture

Audi Cup 2015

Dele Alli will miss Tottenham's fixture with Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur will be without whizkid Dele Alli when they face reigning champions Chelsea next weekend.

Alli is suspended after picking up his latest booking of the season, in a 4-1 victory over West Ham.

The teenager has been a revelation this campaign for Spurs, adjusting to Premier League football with ease, and going on to play and score for England.

It says everything about his progress, that his upcoming absence against Chelsea has become a point of celebration for Blues fans.

Here is a look at how Chelsea supporters reacted on Twitter to the news...

Chelsea recorded a win over Norwich at the weekend, but a match against a Spurs side who have not lost in the Premier League since the opening day is another matter.

Spurs sit in fifth place with 24 points, 10 ahead of 13th positioned Chelsea who have 14, after a woeful start to the season by their high standards.

It was suggested by The Mail last week that Chelsea will be regretting turning down the opportunity to sign Alli back in January after their scouting department recommended him - but next Sunday at least, they will not get to see first hand what they missed out on.
