Saturday’s 2-1 loss to West Brom was a highly disappointing one for Arsenal for a number of reasons.
Not only did it threaten their potential title challenge this season, it also robbed them of the chance to go clear at the top of the Premier League with Manchester City losing to Liverpool.
Not many players enjoyed a good afternoon for the Gunners, with a number of their stars putting in a poor display to help the Baggies to their unlikely win.
One player who wasn’t off form though was Alexis Sanchez, as his direct running posed a constant threat to the home side's defence.
|Alexis Sánchez||West Brom vs Arsenal||11|
|Eden Hazard||Chelsea vs Norwich||9|
|Mousa Dembélé||Tottenham vs West Ham||5|
And it transpires that running was a particularly strong point of his game, as he registered more successful dribbles than any other player in the Premier League this past weekend.
Sanchez managed to win 11 contests in Saturday’s game to put him top of the charts, two more than Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and six more than Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele.
An impressive afternoon for Sanchez then, who will be hoping to top the charts once again next time around.
