It seems Tottenham Hotspur have yet another young player to get excited about.

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of exciting young players coming through their academy right now, and the latest to capture fans’ attention is young full-back Nick Tsaroulla.

The 16-year-old is equally adept as a full-back or a winger and it was in the former position where he played when Tottenham’s under-18s took on their Southampton counterparts on Saturday.

The Saints took the lead when Joe Lea scored just 10 minutes into the game, but a 60-second period prior to half-time saw Tsaroulla’s cross put through his own net by Ben Cull before the Tottenham youngster then scored what proved to be the winner.

It is usually the likes of Ryan Loft, Kazaiah Sterling and Marcus Edwards who make the headlines at this level for Tottenham, so it is both refreshing and exciting to see young defender Tsaroulla show exactly what he can do.

At just 16 he has a long road ahead of him to potential first-team football at White Hart Lane, but if he continues at this rate, he may well get there.
