Report: Zlatan Ibrahimovic eyes Arsenal transfer at end of PSG contract

The striker is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League and joining Arsene Wenger's side

Paris St Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is eyeing a move to Arsenal next summer, according to the Mirror.

The Swedish forward’s deal at the French champions is set to expire in the summer, and as yet he has not agreed a deal to extend his stay in Paris.

He won’t be signing a new deal either, with him instead eyeing a move to the Premier League before eventually finishing his career in either the MLS or the Middle East.

And he has reportedly set his heart on a move to the Emirates, with Arsene Wenger’s side his preferred destination if he can secure it.

His agent, Mino Raiola, is now actively trying to get that move tied down, and as far as the Mirror is concerned the Gunners could afford to muster up a package to entice him to the club.

They aren’t the only side interested though; with Manchester United also keen, although the Swede isn’t interested in that move, as he wants to avoid a personality clash with manager Louis Van Gaal.

He would be more than welcome at Arsenal though, with Wenger having been roundly criticised for not signing a world-class centre forward this summer.

Even at 33, Ibrahimovic is just that, and still has enough in the tank to mark a serious improvement of their forward options.

Whether though, they are willing to offer the kind of money he would want remains to be seen, with them previously having been very strict on the deals they offer to players over 30-years-old.
