Philippe Coutinho stars for Liverpool against Manchester City

The Brazilian posted a number of impressive stats in the game as he once against stepped up for Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool’s emphatic win over Manchester City on Saturday afternoon saw exceptional performances all over the pitch.

Their attacking trio of Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino were crucial to the win, as they tormented Manuel Pellegrini’s defence throughout.

Coutinho was arguably the star among those three, as he once again put in a top display against a big rival, as he did against Chelsea several weeks ago.

We decided to take a look at his stats to see just how good he was.

First and foremost is his passing with him enjoying a 70% passing accuracy throughout the game.

That was continued in his final third passing, with that coming in at 77%, another impressive tally.

With such quality passing, he was a constant creator for his side, with two of his three attempted assists being on target, a success rate of 66%.

Elsewhere, even his touch was impressive as he registered three unsuccessful touches, a success rate of 93%.

Another impressive display from Coutinho then, who Liverpool will be hoping can do that on a more consistent basis this season.
