The young West Ham United player is looking ahead to their latest clash.
The 20-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at MK Dons, where he has made 16 appearances to date, but a day after playing his part in a 1-1 draw with Fulham he will be paying close attention to West Ham’s return to domestic action following the recent international break.
The Hammers have an outstanding away record so far this season so they will be quietly confident of getting one over a Tottenham side that has not suffered defeat in any of their last 11 league matches.
If they do so, West Ham will jump ahead of Tottenham and move to within just four points of current league leaders Leicester City.
Taking to Twitter ahead of the match, Poyet wrote, “Big game today. Good luck to all the boys.”
Poyet may have only played 10 times for West Ham’s senior side but big things are expected of him and he has shown enough in that time to suggest he will be a future star at the club.
