Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has tweeted Harry Kane after becoming concerned that the Tottenham Hotspur striker might take his Premier League goalscoring record.
Kane notched two goals for Spurs in their 4-1 victory over West Ham United, and he seems to be back to his very best now.
The England international now has 32 Premier League goals to his name, and Shearer is concerned that he could be in danger of losing his record.
Spurs very impressive today. Easy now @HKane, hope you haven't got your eyes on my 260!— Alan Shearer (@alanshearer) November 22, 2015
For Kane to catch Shearer would take some going, but his quality is highlighted by the fact that it is even being suggested.
The 22-year-old has now scored in his last five Premier League matches in succession, and his total of 11 goals in 24 matches for club and country this season shows that he has built on his displays last term.
Kane scored 31 times during the 2014/15 campaign, but his whirlwind rise does not appear to have gone to his head.
Kane will hope to continue hitting the back of the net, as Tottenham aim to break into the top-four.
As things stand the Lilywhites are two points behind the Championship League qualification spaces, but they are unbeaten in their last 12 league games.
