Rotherham United claimed a vital 1-0 win at Leeds United today.
Steve Evans and Neil Redfearn faced their former clubs today, but it was the latter who came out victorious as Rotherham United beat Leeds United 1-0 at Elland Road.
The two sides met on the final day of last season, with Redfearn managing Leeds and Evans in charge of Rotherham, but today they were in the opposite dugouts in an intriguing clash.
Both sides are at the wrong end of the Championship table, and with a vital three points on offer, it's Redfearn who is going home the happiest tonight.
The ex-Leeds boss has come back to haunt his former club, as Joe Newell's second half winner handing Rotherham all three points.
The second half was marred by a spat between Gaetano Berardi and Leon best, with both players receiving red cards - but Rotherham held out for the win.
With 14 shots on goal and 60% of possession, Leeds will be disappointed to have lost the game, but just three shots on target couldn't land them the equaliser.
The result leaves Leeds just four points clear of the relegation zone, whilst Rotherham - who sacked Leeds boss Evans in September - move off the bottom of the table and above Bolton Wanderers.
