Rangers boss Mark Warburton reacts to Livingston draw

Rangers failed to win against Livingston in the Scottish Championship today.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told BBC Sport why his side failed to win against Livingston today.

The Gers played out a 1-1 draw with Mark Burchill’s side at the Tony Macaroni Arena in the Scottish Championship.

“We lacked a bit of quality,” Warburton told BBC Sport. “We just got sloppy, a little bit loose in possession. We did create chances but not enough.”

Rangers took the lead against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena midway through the first half when Jason Holt pounced on a loose ball and found the net.

The home team restored parity just six minutes into the second half through Miles Hippolyte, who beat Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham from just outside the box.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, hosts Livingston had just 31% of the possession, took four shots of which just three were on target, and earned two corners.

The Gers had 69% of the possession, took 10 shots of which three were on target, and earned eight corners.

Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 37 points from 14 matches. Hibernian are level on points with the Gers, but they have played a game more.
