QPR fans react on Twitter to Rob Green's performance v Middlesbrough

Rob Green

Queens Park Rangers lost to Middlesbrough thanks to a late penalty on Friday night.

Rob Green received plenty of criticism from QPR fans on Friday night after the west London side's Championship loss to Middlesbrough.

Boro were neck and neck with the R's until late on, when Leroy Fer gave away the penalty that lost the game for the visitors.

Fer, naturally, got plenty of stick. But there seemed to be far more criticism for Green after the game. Not just for the penalty incident (many defended him, anyway), not just for his performance overall. Indeed, many QPR supporters aren't happy with the 35-year-old for his form in general.

It's not the first time R's fans have had a go at Green this season and his biggest weakness, his kicking, has hardly improved.

QPR's struggles continue, then, while Middlesbrough's promotion push receives another welcome boost. There wasn't much between the two sides, of course, except one spot kick. But those fine margins often end up making a huge difference.

Here's how QPR fans reacted on Twitter to Green's performance against Middlesbrough, no doubt expressing their frustration with the result as a whole on social media:
