Chelsea-owned Crystal Palace striker Patrick Bamford was delighted to see Middlesbrough defeat Queens Park Rangers in the Championship on Friday.

Chelsea-owned Crystal Palace striker Patrick Bamford has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Middlesbrough’s win against Queens Park Rangers on Friday evening.

Middlesbrough returned to winning ways in the Championship with a narrow 1-0 victory over London outfit Queens Park Rangers at the Riverside Stadium.

Grant Leadbitter’s penalty in the third minute of injury time proved to be the difference between the two teams.

Bamford, who joined Palace on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window, was following the match, and he was happy to see Middlesbrough win.

Bamford played for Middlesbrough on loan from Chelsea last season and was very successful at the Riverside Stadium.

The 22-year-old striker scored 16 goals and created 28 chances in 40 Championship matches for Boro during the 2014-15 campaign.

The youngster has struggled for playing time for Palace so far this season, managing just three appearances in the Premier League.
