The former Fleetwood Town striker is enjoying a dream campaign as he tops the Premier League’s scoring charts and has been rewarded with international recognition with England.
Only four years ago the striker was playing in non-league, yet the Foxes evidently saw his potential - though even they surely could not have envisaged such a miraculous rise.
After notching at least once in nine straight Premier League games, becoming the only English player to achieve such a feat, Vardy had the chance to match the record as his side faced Newcastle United.
From the first minute onwards, it appeared only a matter of time, as the Claudio Ranieri’s men dominated proceedings and finally opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time.
Vardy picked up the ball in the final third, cut inside Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko before firing in brilliantly and prompting a number of plaudits from leading figures on Twitter.
Jamie Vardy. Some story. Stuff of comic books. Chapeau!— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) noviembre 21, 2015

The 28-year-old’s goal set the tone for a brilliant second half for Leicester, as they added a further two goals to complete a resounding 3-0 victory.
It begs the question of whether the Foxes can sustain their form and genuinely challenge at the top, but after 13 games a points haul of 28 is utterly superb and certainly something to build on.
With Tottenham Hotspur momentarily seven points back in fifth, is it really out of the question for Leicester to maintain their winning habit and secure a top-four spot come next May?
