Mace will be constructing the new Tottenham stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur fans are rightly becoming excited for the future as the club continue to progress in their move to a new stadium near to the current White Hart Lane site in North London.
Spurs have grand plans for their new home and are now free to begin moving forward with their plans for the 61,000 stadium which will also cater to NFL matches once built.
So who will build it?
It has now been announced that London based construction company Mace will be in charge of the build - beating Sir Robert McAlpine and Brookfield Multiplex to the prestigious contract.
Mace are the company behind the London Eye and The Shard - with another London landmark now set to complete their portfolio with the Spurs contract.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is quoted by Construction News as stating:
“This is another step towards the delivery of one of the best stadiums in the world. We are delighted to have Mace on board.
“They bring a wealth of experience and I know they share our commitment to ensuring that the development will be first class in every aspect."
In terms of football, Mace are currently working on the Olympic Stadium and getting it ready for West Ham to play football at the site.
They are currently working on one of the stadium builds for the Qatar World Cup and a new national stadium in Serbia.
Tottenham fans will now be waiting to see just what Mace can come up with for their new home.
