Rangers manager Mark Warburton has revealed to The Daily Record what Tottenham Hotspur-owned Nathan Oduwa has told him about Kenny Miller.
Winger Oduwa joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Former Celtic striker Miller returned to Ibrox for a third spell in the summer of 2014.
The former Scotland international recently signed a new contract with Rangers, and manager Warburton has revealed what he has been told about the 35-year-old striker from players like Oduwa.
“The feedback from the likes of Nathan Oduwa is the player they’ve learned from most in training is Kenny Miller,” the Englishman told The Daily Record. “What an example Kenny has been.
“We’re a really young side and our average age has gone from 29 to under-23. We need the seniority and experience provided by players such as Kenny, Dean Shiels and Lee Wallace.”
Miller is one of the most experienced players in the Scottish Championship, and him remaining at Ibrox is certainly a good thing for the club.
The former Derby County striker will also be an important figure in the dressing room if, as expected, Rangers get promoted to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season.
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment and are favourites to win the league title this term.
