Could Michail Antonio start for West Ham United against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday?

The West Ham United players were training today ahead of this weekend’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur away from home.

West Ham will face Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the Premier League, and they will be looking to return to winning ways.

Slaven Bilic’s side will head into the London derby on the back of a 1-1 draw with Everton at home.

The West Ham players were training hard today, and among those who looked serious during session was Michail Antonio (see photo above).

The 25-year-old winger joined the Hammers from Championship outfit Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Much was expected of the former Sheffield Wednesday man, but he has struggled to even get into the West Ham matchday squad at times.

Antonio has been able to make just one appearance in the Premier League for West Ham so far this season.

That came against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium back in September, and the Englishman was given just 31 minutes.

However, due to the long-term injury suffered by Dimitri Payet, Antonio could get his chance in the coming weeks.

The former Reading man is a very good player, and he will be determined to show what he is capable of if he starts against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
