Austin explains his Middlesbrough absence on Twitter, hits back at QPR fan

Charlie Austin is not part of the Queens Park Rangers squad to face Middlesbrough in the Championship this evening.

Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin has explained on social networking site Twitter why he is not in the squad to play against Middlesbrough this evening.

Rangers will face Middlesbrough away from home at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship in a few minutes’ time.

Austin is not part of the matchday squad, and he has explained why on Twitter.

The 26-year-old striker has also hit back at a QPR fan on Twitter for sending messages to his wife which were supposedly meant for him.

QPR, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 20 points from 16 matches, eight points behind sixth-place Birmingham City.

The London outfit are in a poor run of a form at the moment and have not won a competitive match since October 24.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough currently find themselves fourth in the standings with 30 points from 16 games.
