Former Newcastle striker Shearer believes that the Baggies will provide Arsenal a tough test, but he expects Arsene Wenger’s side to pick up all three points with ease if they score the opening goal.
“As for Arsenal, I think they will have their work cut out for them away to West Brom,” the former England international wrote on Coral.co.uk. “The Hawthorns is a tough place to go and Tony Pulis will have his team well organised.
“That said, I think if the Gunners get the first goal it will be game over. If there’s a team you don’t want to go a goal down to, it’s Arsenal with the way they can keep possession."
Arsenal will head into Saturday’s game against West Brom on the back of a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby.
The Gunners are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 26 points from 12 matches, level on points with leaders Manchester City but behind on goal difference.
Meanwhile, West Brom currently find themselves 13th in the standings with 14 points from 12 games.
