Barcelona are also interested but the Germans have placed a big asking price on their star man.

Arsenal are still tracking Borussia Dortmund's in-form goal machine Pierre Emerick Aubameyang according to Bild in Germany.

The striker has been in sensational form this season, with 14 goals so far in the Bundelisga. That record puts him level with Robert Lewandowski at the top of the goalscoring charts, and his exploits in front of goal have alerted a number of Europe’s top clubs.

Among them are Arsenal, according to Bild, who have continued to keep an eye on the striker with a view to a move. They would face competition however, with La Liga giants Barcelona having reportedly watched him on numerous occasions already.

However, both clubs may find it hard to prise the in form striker away from Germany any time soon, with the club reportedly slapping a big price tag on their star man.

The Bundesliga side are naturally keen to keep hold of the striker, and have allegedly set their asking price at an astronomical £42m.

That would almost certainly put Barca out of the reckoning given their precarious financial situation of present, while the Gunners are also unlikely to pay that big price given their reluctance to pay big money for a striker in the summer.
