Hasselbaink is currently in charge of Burton Albion, but the League One outfit are keen not to stand in the Dutchman’s way should the R’s come in for him.
As a result, Burton will reportedly only demand £60,000 in compensation should QPR move to land the 43-year-old boss.
Would Hasselbaink be a good fit at QPR?
Hasselbaink is still a relative newcomer to management, but his start has suggested that he is ready for a job in the Championship.
The former Chelsea player took over from Gary Rowett at the Pirelli Stadium, and he has done a highly impressive job.
Hasselbaink achieved promotion from League Two with Burton, and he has now got the Brewers competing in the upper echelons of League One.
Would Hasselbaink join QPR?
According to Get West London, he would be keen on a move, due to his relationship with Les Ferdinand.
Ferdinand is QPR’s director of football, and he is keen on making Hasselbaink the new boss.
The former Dutch international could also be tempted by the switch as he is apparently keen on a move back to London.
