The England international is looking to score in his tenth consecutive Premier League game.
The league's current top scorer has scored in nine consecutive Premier League games which has seen him move within one game of the 10 consecutive games set by Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Unfortunately his tilt at making history has been hampered by a hip injury picked up in his last game against Watford. He missed the England friendlies against Spain and Germany this week and it looked like he might miss the game with Newcastle United this weekend.
But he certainly seemed ready for the game in training today.
Vardy took to the field in high spirits ahead of the weekend tie against The Toon where he will hope to become a record equaling Premier League striker.
Claudio Ranieri had already confirmed earlier today that his striker had indeed trained for a little bit today and that has now been visually confirmed.
