The Australian had been without a contract with the club since July.
Liverpool's players were being put through their paces today by Jurgen Klopp and his team as the group were all reunited after a spell away on international duty for many of them.
Liverpool take on Manchester City on Saturday evening in a big clash between two of the Premier League's top teams.
So many of the familiar faces were in the training session today as Klopp gets his tactics in order for the game.
But one man who has not been seen around Melwood recently was also pictured in action - Australian left-back Brad Smith.
Liverpool certainly had high hopes for Smith. In October last year Liverpool recalled Smith from a loan spell at Swindon Town with the hope of getting him to sign a long-term deal at the club.
However he became a a free agent after his contract with Liverpool came to an end this summer after failing to come to an agreement over a new deal.
In September, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, he was on trial with Barnsley and his Liverpool career seemed over.
But earlier in the week the player signed a new deal at the club, bringing to an end a contract negotiation which has been ongoing since July.
Happy to have signed a new contract at liverpool @LFC— brad smith (@bradsmith_94) November 17, 2015
He has immediately gone back into first-team training and hopefully the 21-year-old Australian international can prove himself to new manager Jurgen Klopp in due course.
